"Dress for Success is about much more than just suits - simply stated - we change lives."

The mission of Dress for Success SW Florida is to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.

Our clients are the most important part of Dress for Success. You are the reason we exist!

"We focus on helping each woman prepare for the
journey ahead."

When Dress for Success® was founded, we set out to address the catch-22 that confronts disadvantaged women trying to enter the workforce: “Without a job, how can you afford a suit? But without a suit, how can you get a job?” We quickly became well-known for providing suits to disadvantaged women returning to or entering the workforce. Which, in turn, has enabled us to suit more than 600,000 women in more than 110 cities across the world. As our organization has grown, so too has our ability to serve the total needs of our clients.

Today, Dress for Success has four signature programs worldwide that enable us to help make sure each of our clients is Going Places. Going Strong.

Suits for Self Sufficiency

Job-ready women come to Dress for Success SW Florida by referral only from a range of non-profit organizations. Each client works one-on-one with a highly trained volunteer personal shopper who helps her select professional attire and also provides support and encouragement as she prepares for her upcoming interviews. Dress for Success provides each client with a career suit, cosmetics, footwear and accessories—and most importantly, positive reinforcement and a boost of confidence. After a client finds work, she can return to Dress for Success for a full week’s worth of professional attire. The clothing that Dress for Success provides to our clients symbolizes our faith in every woman’s ability to succeed.
Dress for Success solves the catch-22 that confronts disadvantaged women trying to enter the workforce: without a job, how can you afford a suit?  But without a suit, how can you get a job?

Job search, interview tips, mentoring and coaching
Our Career Centers take women’s job readiness “beyond the suit” to help raise their chances of success in a competitive job market. Our Career Center promotes confidence and professionalism by providing Dress for Success clients with career guidance, technology skills and support in their job searches. The program offers services and resources that are vital to women entering the workforce such as search assistance, resume and cover-letter-writing lessons and interview preparation.

Entrepreneurial Spirit Program (ESP)

For women who are serious about working!
ESP provides women with information, resources and the tools needed to start a one person business, develop a career path or both. This is not about a traditional business start-up.  ESP is about women who are employable, have been seeking work and have decided to take control of their destination by becoming self employed. Workshops will help them realize their potential and follow through with a “Plan for Success”.
